The Center for Disease Control is recommending the regular use of the 3 dose series of HPV4 (Gardasil) vaccine in boys, starting at 9 years of age. The HPV4 vaccine can provide proteciton against certain HPV-related conditions and cancers in males. The State will provide this vaccine to boys ages 9 - 18 years if they have MASS Health Insurance or no health insurance coverage at all. Most private health insurance companies will also pay for this vaccine series in boys, But you should first check with your insurance company.
